Responsibilities :

Plan, deploy, administer, and optimize enterprise virtualization solutions, primarily based on VMware technologies.
Deploy, manage, and troubleshoot Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) environments, such as VMware Horizon or equivalent solutions.
Manage enterprise storage platforms, including SAN, NAS, Object Storage, and cloud-based storage solutions.
Perform routine maintenance, patching, upgrades, and health checks to ensure the performance, availability, and security of virtualization and storage systems.
Provide proactive and reactive operational support for VMware environments across multiple sites.
Monitor infrastructure performance, identify bottlenecks, troubleshoot complex issues, and implement effective solutions.
Design, implement, maintain, and regularly test disaster recovery solutions using VMware Site Recovery Manager (SRM), Zerto, or similar technologies.
Conduct failover and failback tests to validate disaster recovery plans, RPOs, and RTOs.
Develop and test backup and disaster recovery procedures to ensure data integrity, service continuity, and availability.
Conduct capacity planning, resource utilization analysis, and forecasting based on organizational growth and future infrastructure requirements.
Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of system configurations, architecture, operational procedures, disaster recovery plans, and technical changes.
Implement appropriate security controls to protect virtualization, storage, backup, and VDI environments against cyber threats.
Collaborate with other ICT teams to support the organization’s infrastructure, security, availability, and business continuity objectives.
Manage relationships with vendors and service providers and ensure that delivered services meet technical requirements, SLAs, and organizational standards.

Requirements:

At least 5 years of hands-on experience in implementing and managing enterprise virtualization and storage environments.
Expert-level knowledge of VMware virtualization technologies, including VMware ESXi, vCenter Server, HA, DRS, clustering, and related components.
Strong hands-on experience in deploying, administering, and troubleshooting VDI environments, preferably VMware Horizon or equivalent enterprise VDI solutions.
Strong practical experience with disaster recovery and workload replication solutions, particularly VMware SRM and/or Zerto.
Strong understanding of enterprise storage technologies, including SAN, NAS, Object Storage, and cloud storage solutions.
Experience with Microsoft Hyper-V or other enterprise virtualization platforms.
Experience and proficiency with VMware Aria/vRealize Suite products, including VMware Aria Operations (vROps) and VMware Aria Operations for Logs (vRLI).
Strong knowledge of backup technologies, strategies, and best practices, particularly Veeam Backup & Replication.
Good understanding of business continuity concepts, including RPO, RTO, replication, failover, and failback processes.
Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with accuracy and attention to detail.
Ability to document technical environments and communicate effectively with internal teams, vendors, and service providers.
Hands-on experience with Proxmox VE, including cluster administration, storage integration, backup, migration, and high-availability configurations, will be considered a strong advantage.
