Responsibilities
• Collaborate closely with software development and QA teams to ensure the reliability, scalability, security, and performance of production systems.
• Participate in on-call rotations, proactively troubleshoot production issues, and drive incident resolution with minimal downtime.
• Design and implement monitoring, alerting, and logging systems to ensure visibility into system health and application performance.
• Automate operational tasks and deployment pipelines to improve team efficiency and reduce human error.
• Assist in capacity planning, infrastructure scaling, and resource optimization across environments.
• Create and maintain technical documentation for infrastructure configurations, processes, and runbooks.
• Work with the security team to implement best practices around hardening, vulnerability management, and compliance.
• Support CI/CD pipelines and collaborate in improving the release management process.

Requirements
• Strong experience with Linux/Unix environments, including shell scripting and system internals.
• Deep understanding of computer networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/HTTPS, firewalls, load balancing).
• Solid grasp of cryptographic concepts: encryption, hashing, certificate management, and secure communications protocols, with practical experience using OpenSSL.
• Experience configuring, deploying, and tuning web servers such as Nginx, OpenResty, and Apache.
• Proficient in managing SQL and relational databases, especially PostgreSQL and MariaDB/MySQL, including replication, backup, and performance tuning.
• Experience with containerization using Docker and familiarity with orchestration tools (e.g., Docker Compose, Kubernetes is a plus).
• Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Ansible, Terraform, or similar.
• Experience with monitoring and observability stacks, including Grafana and time-series databases (InfluxDB, Prometheus, TimescaleDB, etc.).
• Basic scripting or programming ability in languages such as Bash, Python, or Go.
• (Optional) Experience working with the ELK stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana) for centralized logging and analysis.
• (Optional) Familiarity with CI/CD systems such as GitLab CI, Jenkins, or GitHub Actions.
• Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
