Role Overview
As a Backend Software Engineer, your primary focus will be on maintaining, enhancing, and scaling our existing
backend systems. Working closely with senior engineers and product teams, you will refactor legacy components,
resolve complex technical issues, optimize system performance, and implement new features as needed. Your
primary strength will be leveraging C# and SQL Server for data processing and core system operations, alongside
ASP.NET components, to ensure our platform remains reliable, clean, and efficient.

Key Responsibilities
● Backend Development: Develop and maintain backend services, business logic, and APIs using C#,
ASP.NET Core.
● Data Collection Workflows: Implement scheduled background processes and automated tools to
extract, process, and ingest data from various external sources.
● Database Operations: Write optimized queries, design efficient database tables, and manage
relational databases in SQL Server.
● API Integration: Build, test, and maintain secure RESTful APIs to support platform features.
● Maintenance & Performance: Help monitor system performance, fix bugs, and refactor code to
ensure application reliability.
● Code Quality: Write clean and maintainable while actively participating in peer code reviews.
● Team Collaboration: Partner with product managers to translate functional requirements into reliable
technical solutions.
● Learning & Continuous Improvement: Adopt best practices, refine your technical skills, and
participate in technical discussions to improve overall engineering standards.

What We’re Looking For

Must-Have Skills:
● Solid commercial experience developing applications with C#, ASP.NET Core, and .NET Framework.
● Good working knowledge of SQL Server.
● Practical experience developing and consuming RESTful APIs.
● Solid understanding of core software design principles, OOP, and clean code practices.
● Daily experience with version control systems (Git) and standard branching workflows.
● Strong debugging and problem-solving skills with good attention to detail.

Nice-to-Have Skills:
● Familiarity with financial systems, capital markets, stock trading, or asset management..
● Familiarity with or experience using RabbitMQ (or other message brokers) for asynchronous messaging
and data queuing.
● High motivation to learn and adapt to new technologies
● Basic understanding of the web lifecycle and fundamental JavaScript skills.
● Familiarity with Go (Golang).
