About the Role

The Senior Software Engineer (Next.js) will play a key role in building and scaling our next-generation e-commerce platform. The platform leverages both Server-Side Rendering (SSR) and Client-Side Rendering (CSR) to deliver a fast, SEO-friendly, and highly interactive shopping experience. This role is responsible for designing and implementing scalable frontend solutions, driving technical excellence, and collaborating closely with Product, Design, Backend, and QA teams to deliver high-quality customer experiences.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable web applications using Next.js, React, and TypeScript.
  • Build and optimize SSR, CSR, and hybrid rendering solutions to improve performance, SEO, and user experience.
  • Develop reusable UI components and shared frontend libraries that promote consistency across the platform.
  • Collaborate with Product Managers, UX/UI Designers, Backend Engineers, and QA to deliver customer-facing features.
  • Optimize Core Web Vitals, page load performance, caching strategies, and rendering efficiency.
  • Integrate frontend applications with backend services through RESTful APIs and modern authentication mechanisms.
  • Participate in architectural discussions and contribute to frontend technical direction and best practices.
  • Review code, mentor engineers, and help improve engineering standards and development processes.
  • Troubleshoot production issues and continuously improve application stability, observability, and maintainability.
Requirements

  • 5+ years of professional frontend software development experience.
  • Strong hands-on experience with React.js and Next.js in production environments.
  • Deep understanding of SSR, CSR, Static Site Generation (SSG), and Incremental Static Regeneration (ISR).
  • Strong proficiency in TypeScript, JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5, and CSS3.
  • Experience with the Next.js App Router and modern React features.
  • Strong understanding of frontend architecture, component-driven development, and scalable project structure.
  • Experience consuming RESTful APIs and working closely with backend services.
  • Experience with frontend performance optimization, lazy loading, image optimization, caching, and bundle optimization.
  • Familiarity with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and modern development workflows.
  • Experience writing maintainable, reusable, and testable code
