Position Summary
As a Data Science Engineering Manager, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the data-driven decision-making processes within our organization. You will lead a talented team of data scientists and machine learning engineers, guiding them in the development and implementation of advanced analytics solutions to address complex business challenges. This position requires a seasoned professional with a strong background in data science, machine learning, and a passion for the automotive and transportation industry.

Responsibilities
1. Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of data scientists and machine learning engineers, fostering a  collaborative and innovative work environment.
2. Strategy Development: Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as product managers and stakeholders to define and implement the data science strategy aligned with business objectives.
3. Project Management: Oversee the end-to-end execution of data science projects, from problem definition and data  exploration to model development and deployment.
4. ML Algorithm Development: Drive the development of advanced machine learning algorithms to optimize pricing,   demand/supply forecasting, text understanding, and other key business areas.
5. Data Governance: Establish and enforce data governance practices to ensure the quality, integrity, and security of  data assets.
6. Collaboration: Work closely with product managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to integrate data science 
 solutions into the company's products and services.
7. Performance Monitoring: Implement robust monitoring systems to track the performance of machine learning models in real-world scenarios and iterate on models as needed.
8. Stay Current: Keep abreast of the latest advancements in data science, machinelearning, and artificial intelligence,  and assess their potential applications in the context of the car-hailing industry.
   
Qualifications
1. Educational Background: A Ph.D. or Master's degree in a quantitative field such as computer science/engineering,        statistics, or applied mathematics.
2. Experience: Minimum of 6 years of relevant experience in data science, with at least 2 years in a managerial role.
3. Technical Skills: Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, and experience with machine learning  frameworks (e.g., Scikit Learn, TensorFlow, MLFlow, and Airflow) and Development/production tools and   frameworks (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD, Linux)
4. Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with the car-hailing or transportation industry is highly desirable.
5. Communication Skills: Strong communication skills to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical   stakeholders.
6. Leadership: Proven ability to lead and inspire a team, driving them toward successful project delivery.
7. Problem-Solving: Demonstrated ability to formulate and solve business problems using  advanced analytical  techniques.
8. Product Experience: Solid experience with real-world at-scale machine learning products
