About Snappshop


Snappshop is a growing e-commerce company focused on building scalable, reliable, and secure platforms. Our infrastructure is cloud-based, and we work closely with development and data teams to support fast and sustainable product delivery.


Role Overview


We are looking for a DevOps Engineer to join our Infrastructure team. This role requires someone who is comfortable working within established technical and operational frameworks, takes ownership of responsibilities end-to-end, and contributes to the long-term stability and evolution of our platform.

You will work closely with development and data teams, ensuring that infrastructure, tooling, and processes remain reliable, well-documented, and continuously improved.


Responsibilities


  • Operate and maintain Kubernetes-based infrastructure in a cloud environment with a strong sense of ownership and continuity
  • Collaborate with development and data teams within defined processes and technical standards
  • Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitLab, ensuring consistency and reliability across projects
  • Maintain and improve observability and monitoring using tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, and Elasticsearch
  • Take responsibility for assigned systems and services throughout their lifecycle, including troubleshooting and improvement
  • Participate in incident response and post-incident analysis, contributing to preventive actions
  • Manage tasks independently, prioritize work effectively, and follow through without constant supervision
  • Work within existing architectural, security, and operational guidelines while contributing to their improvement
  • Create and maintain clear and practical documentation for infrastructure, processes, and operational procedures

Required Technical Skills


  • Hands-on experience with Kubernetes (deployments, basic cluster operations, troubleshooting)
  • Practical experience with GitLab CI/CD and modern CI/CD workflows
  • Experience with monitoring and logging systems (Prometheus, Grafana, Elasticsearch or similar)
  • Strong knowledge of Linux system administration
  • Understanding of containerization concepts (Docker, OCI)
  • Ability to systematically debug infrastructure and application-related issues

Additional Experience (Preferred)


  • Background in networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, load balancing)
  • Familiarity with virtualization and cloud environments
  • Understanding of security best practices (secrets management, access control, TLS)
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code and automation tools
  • Exposure to data platforms or data-intensive systems
