Responsibilities:
- Lead and guide the day-to-day work of the DevOps Team.
- Consult and provide guidance and direction to colleagues on their tasks when they are blocked.
- Proactively monitor team progress and maturity.
- Engage with a team to ensure constant progress and growth.
- Take accountability for process and principles implementation.
- Responsible for creating software deployment strategies and identification of data storage capabilities to improve performance.
- Responsible to think of solutions to manage documentation in real time.
- Identify production issues and improve monitoring solutions.
- Keep track of the latest industry trends and best practices.
- Accountable for designing, building, and optimizing automation systems that aid the platform.
- Develop self-service solutions for development teams.
- Designing and scaling strategies.
- Accountable for conducting training sessions for teams.
- Accountable for architecture and tech leadership of DevOps platform.
- Dealing with management and development of continuous integration and development.
- Cater to the department's quality and standards.
- Implement lifecycle platform solutions and documentation operations.
- Mature system monitoring tools.
- Develop and implement a comprehensive DevOps strategy.
- Work closely with development teams to ensure that code is deployed efficiently and effectively.
- Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues as they arise.
- Ensure that all systems are secure and compliant with industry standards.
Skills and Qualifications:
- At least 5 years as a DevOps Engineer.
- At least 2 years as a DevOps Team Lead.
- Strong understanding of Infrastructure as code (IAC) patterns and principles.
- Understanding Microservice architecture.
- In-depth Knowledge of Linux /Helm / Service Mesh / Kubernetes and Docker containerization.
- Knowledge of service and messaging bus (RabbitMQ/Kafka, etc.)
- Knowledge of Elastic Search.
- Experience with failover/recovery scenarios.
- Skilled in configuration, maintenance, and securing of systems.
- Automated deployment frameworks.
- Good knowledge of relational databases (e.g., MySQL) and knowledge about NoSQL databases.
- Strong scripting skills (Python, Bash).
- Experience with monitoring solutions and tools.
- Experience with logging solutions and tools.
- Strong understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, Load Balancing, CDN) and firewalls in datacenter.
- Good understanding of REST (representational state transfer) API (Application Programming Interfaces) principles.
- Excellent communication skills to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to lead a team of engineers.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to learn new technologies quickly.
- Excellent organizational and collaborative skills.
