About Snapp

Snapp is the pioneer provider of ride-hailing mobile solutions in Iran that connects smartphone owners in need of a ride to Snapp drivers who use their private cars to offer transportation services. We are ambitious, passionate, engaged, and excited about pushing the boundaries of the transportation industry to new frontiers and being the first choice of each user in Iran.


About the position

To identify key insights into the business's customers and ways the data can be used to solve problems and also communicate this information to the leadership and other stakeholders.


Responsibilities

  • Create and monitor various dashboards and provide data analytics solutions to different stakeholders across the Offering team
  • Derive actionable insights from our data services to maximize the impact of our product
  • Explain trends across data sources, potential opportunities for growth or improvement, and data caveats for data analysis
  • Generate data-driven hypotheses and advocate for testing best practices, contributing to accelerating our testing cycles
  • Create training and documentation to ensure consistency and adoption of our data solutions and recommendations
  • Collaborate, learn, share, and brainstorm with the rest of the offering team

Requirements

  • SQL Knowledge - You know your way around analytical and aggregate functions, complex joins, and window functions and are confident in wrangling all types of data in SQL.
  • Statistic, Linear Algebra, and Calculus Knowledge.
  • Statistical Programming Languages (Python, R) Knowledge - You are well-versed in standard data science libraries such as Pandas and NumPy but are also able to write basic Python code that is clean, well-documented, and tested.
  • Experience with SQL(Postgres,ClickHouse,Hive)
  • Experience with Data Visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, Plotly,...)
  • Creating Dashboards and Writing Reports.
  • Machine Learning Basic knowledge is a plus.
  • Experience with large datasets is a plus.
  • Problem Solving and Critical Thinking - It’s not enough to simply look at data; you need to understand it and expand its implications beyond the numbers alone.
  • Writing and Communication skills

  • Good English skills
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer engineering and science, statistics, mathematics, or similar quantitative discipline.
  • You have 2+ years of experience tackling similar problems academically and/or professionally and a proven history of delivering results.
