About the Role:

As a Product Design Lead in our Shopping vertical, you will oversee the design process for key e-commerce experiences and products, enhancing the end-to-end shopping journey across our offerings. This role involves leading design initiatives across discovery, browsing, checkout, and post-purchase experiences, ensuring alignment with business goals while delivering high-quality, user-centered solutions.

You will mentor and support other designers, fostering their growth and helping build a strong and collaborative design team. Additionally, you’ll contribute to hiring top design talent. Leveraging your expertise, you’ll conduct user research, lead ideation sessions, and craft seamless, impactful UI/UX experiences that prioritize usability, trust, and conversion across our e-commerce ecosystem.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the redesign of features or products with a hands-on approach, creating designs that enhance user satisfaction and align with business goals.
  • Actively design and deliver innovative solutions across product lines, focusing on visually engaging and user-friendly interfaces.
  • Mentor mid-level and junior designers through guidance and example, fostering a culture of growth and collaboration.
  • Support the hiring process by identifying and recruiting top design talent to strengthen the team.
  • Identify areas that require user research, collaborate with researchers, and apply insights to improve user experience and resolve pain points.
  • Drive feature ideation and deliver impactful designs that boost product adoption and meet strategic goals.
  • Design and manage complex UI/UX components, maintaining high standards for usability and quality.
  • Build a collaborative team environment while contributing directly to design work and team success.
Requirement:

  • Showcase a strong portfolio with mobile-focused design examples.
  • Possess in-depth knowledge of current design industry practices and trends.
  • Minimum 5 years of product design experience, including at least 1 year in a team lead role.
  • Exhibit excellent design skills in layout, typography, color application, and UI principles.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in design and prototyping tools, particularly Figma.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective conveyance of design concepts.
  • Ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment.
  • Show a strong inclination for creative problem-solving with a positive attitude.
  • Possess excellent time-management skills for efficient project execution.
  • Utilize data insights to inform design decisions and validate hypotheses for continuous improvement.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodology, Scrum, and Kanban.
  • Bring experience in e-commerce and payments industries.
