About the role:
The mission of the Collections Team Manager is to lead and motivate a dedicated team in effectively recovering the company’s overdue receivables. This role focuses on developing innovative strategies and implementing best practices to optimize client interactions, ensure compliance with company policies, and continuously improve collection processes. By closely monitoring team performance and providing targeted training, the Collections Team Manager aims to achieve key performance indicators (KPIs) centered on timely debt recovery, ultimately enhancing the company’s financial stability and building strong professional relationships with clients.
Responsibilities:
· Design and implement strategies to enhance the collections process, ensuring improved performance in recovering overdue receivables.
· Provide leadership and guidance to the collections team by creating a positive, collaborative work environment to achieve both individual and team success in collections.
· Monitor the team’s interactions with clients to ensure compliance with company policies and standards, and proactively address areas for improvement in the collections process.
· Identify obstacles in the collections process and implement procedural improvements to enhance efficiency and accelerate the recovery of overdue receivables.
· Oversee the training and development of the collections team representatives, equipping them with negotiation skills, credit analysis capabilities, and proven methods for effective collections.
· Regularly evaluate team performance using key performance indicators (KPIs), prepare detailed reports, and extract actionable insights to guide decision-making and improve collections results.
· Collaborate with other departments such as finance, legal to ensure that collections objectives are aligned with the overall organizational goals.
· Serve as the point of contact for escalated collections issues, ensuring timely and effective resolution of client concerns while maintaining their trust.
· Advocate for the company’s interests in all decisions related to collections, focusing on building long-term relationships and enhancing loyalty through process improvements.
Requirements:
· Minimum of 4-6 years of experience in customer service or related fields.
