شرح موقعیت شغلی

This is a unique opportunity. Please read carefully. 

Our subsidiary Bay&Co Inc. (a Toronto-based incubator/accelerator/VC) is hiring a Product Manager for one of its proprietary early-stage start-ups. In this role at this highly unicorn-able venture, you will champion our product to later become its product owner. A lot will be expected of you as this is a very challenging yet highly rewarding role.   

Our ideal candidate is highly knowledgeable with a track record of success in Product Management. Here are some highlighted expectations for this role: 

Product Positioning 

  • Defining product goals, mission, and vision aligned with the company’s goals and strategy in liaison with the CEO. 
  • Understanding and defining customers, their needs, and the product orientation
  • Conducting market research and product assessment
  • Defining product value proposition/differentiator 
  • Support branding
Product Requirements & Planning 

  • Given the above, defining product requirements, and required features and functionalities for the MVP, MVP +, and full-scale. 
  • Planning the product roadmap and prioritization in liaison with the business and development team. 
  • Defining product goals and setting metrics in place
Project & Product Management 

  • Communicating product/project requirements with other team members 
  • Managing the execution of the project - ensuring all milestones are met and the expectations are fulfilled at each stage.
  • Continuously improving the product, as seen fit. 
Team Management & Alignment 

  • Bringing internal teams together to achieve a common goal, bringing the product vision to reality. 
  • Ensuring that all team members are on the same page, knowing their responsibilities, the expectations, and delivering as expected.
To succeed you need to have:  

  • At least 3 years of experience working as Product Manager/CEO/CTO/COO in tech companies. 
    • Experience working at a high growth tech startup is a plus.
    • Experience with consumer-facing apps is valuable.
  • An entrepreneurial mindset. This is an early-stage startup so you must be comfortable working in a rapidly changing context. You will need to propose and create your own direction to get things done.
  • Experience leading the direction of a product from start to finish, driven by the desire to build FOR users. You need to have a genuine passion for solving the most complex problem of our users. 
  • Experience with Agile project management and approach. 
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple initiatives at once.
  • Excellent communication skills, and the ability to work across multiple products aligning on goals and deliverables.

Required Education/skills

  • BS/MS degree - preferably in engineering, or computer science.
  • English proficiency is a MUST.
    • You should have adequate English proficiency to be able to understand & communicate in English, especially in writing and reading. 
  • Agile/Scrum Master credentials are valuable.
