About the Role

As an Engineering Manager you are responsible for at least leading one of our engineering teams in Mabna DP. This role typically requires a blend of technical expertise, leadership skills, and project management experience. Our expectation is to create and maintain a culture of quality engineering work and high performance for the team and its members. Set clear standards and help the team live up to them. You will take on the role of mentor and coach to a highly skilled engineering team. As an Engineering Manager, you will have three primary scope duties: Technical leadership, Coaching & Team Management and Project Management.

Responsibilities:

Technical Leadership

Drives the technical vision and implementation for the team’s contributions to the company’s product, aligning with the CTO’s overall technical strategy for the product.
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members.
Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and best practices.
Hands-on approach to software development such as designing, coding, reviews.

Project Management

Ensure that features and enhancements for our product are delivered on time with the required level of quality.
Collaborate with other engineering managers, product managers, Business Analysts, and stakeholders to ensure that product roadmaps and development efforts align with the company’s strategic goals.
Experienced in task management and tracking tools.
Ability in preparing reports related to the project (such as progress report, periodical reports and etc).

Coaching & Team Management

Build a high-performance team that consistently executes product goals and initiatives.
Build trusting relationships with product, design, other engineering teams, and key business stakeholders.
Lead education and training initiatives within the engineering team, implementing standards, processes, documentation, and more that enables the team.
Partner closely with recruiting team to improve our hiring process, ensuring teams can hire the right talent as it scales.
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members, ensuring they are equipped to complete their daily tasks with the required level of quality within acceptable timeframes.
Enable team members to grow in their career path in order to achieve success and promotion based on organizational career ladder.
Hold one-on-one/feedback meetings.

Requirements:

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
+7 years of experience in software engineering, with +2 years of experience in a leadership role.
Experience with managing and mentoring a team of engineers.
Proven strong track record in Back-End development, especially with Golang (required) and .Net (Plus).
Familiarity and hands-on experience with front-end development (React).
Familiarity and hands-on experience with DevOps tools & way of workings.
Extensive experience in designing and building information systems and working with databases.
Strong knowledge in Software Architecture and System Design.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Ability to learn new technologies and techniques quickly.
Excellent writing skills in both Persian and English.
