Job Description: 

We are looking for a talented DevOps Engineer to join our team and play a crucial role in enhancing and maintaining our remittance platform's infrastructure. As a DevOps Engineer, you will work closely with our development, operations, and security teams to automate and streamline our build, deployment, and monitoring processes. You will be responsible for implementing best practices for infrastructure as code, continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD), and ensuring the reliability, scalability, and security of our platform.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, build, and maintain our cloud infrastructure on platforms.
  • Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines to automate the build, test, and deployment processes.
  • Develop and maintain infrastructure as code using tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible.
  • Monitor system performance and reliability, implementing automated alerting and remediation strategies.
  • Collaborate with development teams to ensure application deployments are efficient, scalable, and secure.
  • Implement and manage container orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes or Docker Swarm.
  • Ensure the security of our infrastructure by implementing best practices for network security, access control, and data encryption.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure-related issues.
  • Stay updated on emerging technologies and best practices in DevOps and cloud computing.
Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a DevOps Engineer or similar role, with a strong understanding of cloud computing principles and best practices.
  • Hands-on experience with cloud platforms.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Shell, or PowerShell.
  • Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or CircleCI.
  • Familiarity with infrastructure as code tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible.
  • Knowledge of containerization technologies such as Docker and container orchestration platforms like Kubernetes.
  • Strong understanding of networking concepts, security best practices, and system administration.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with microservices architecture and serverless computing.
  • Knowledge of monitoring and logging tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, or Splunk.
  • Experience with database technologies such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, or MongoDB.
Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
