About the Role

At Hami System Sharif, we build large-scale national systems in payments, identity verification, and capital markets, systems that serve hundreds of thousands of users, where correctness, security, and performance are critical. We are looking for a strong Software Engineer to help build them.

In this role, we expect you to actively contribute to the design, implementation, testing, and maintenance of backend services and integrations with external systems (banks, Shaparak, government organizations), write clean and maintainable code, and take responsibility for the quality of your work all the way to production.

We are looking for someone who knows software engineering fundamentals, is curious and eager to learn, is constructive in teamwork and code reviews, and cares about solving the problem correctly, not just making the code work.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement high-quality, maintainable backend services and APIs

• Contribute to requirements analysis and translate requirements into technical designs and actionable tasks

• Integrate with external systems and APIs (banks, Shaparak, government organizations) and handle errors and retries

• Design and optimize data models and queries in relational and NoSQL databases

• Write unit and integration tests and help increase test coverage across projects

• Actively participate in code reviews and follow the team's coding standards

• Improve the performance, scalability, and security of existing services

• Fix bugs and perform root cause analysis on issues reported from production

• Work with the frontend, DevOps, and QA teams across the full development and release cycle

• Write technical documentation for services, APIs (e.g., OpenAPI), and design decisions

• Contribute to improving system architecture and paying down technical debt

• Follow the security and regulatory requirements of financial systems in design and implementation

• Participate in the team's planning, review, and retrospective sessions

• Keep learning and share technical knowledge with the team

Requirements

• At least 2 years of software development experience in real-world, production projects

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related field

• Strong command of at least one of Java, Python, C# (.NET) and its common frameworks

• Solid understanding of software engineering principles, clean code, SOLID, and design patterns

• Experience designing and implementing RESTful APIs and working with relational databases

• Familiarity with Git, branching workflows, and code review

• Familiarity with automated testing concepts and tools

• Familiarity with Docker and Linux fundamentals

• Strong problem analysis, debugging, and complex problem-solving skills

• Proficiency in Office and Google Workspace tools

• Working knowledge of English for reading technical resources and documentation

Nice to Have

• Experience developing fintech, payment, banking, or capital-market systems

• Familiarity with microservices architecture, message queues (Kafka / RabbitMQ), and Redis

• Familiarity with application security concepts (OWASP) and cryptography

• Experience with CI/CD and Kubernetes

• Contributions to open-source projects or a portfolio available on GitHub

• Experience working in growing organizations or fast-paced environments
