Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced Datacenter and Virtualization Engineer to join our IT infrastructure team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in setting up and managing server hardware, particularly HP servers in a datacenter colocation environment, and in-depth knowledge of VMware virtualization technologies including vSphere, ESXi, vCenter, and related services. You will play a key role in ensuring the stability, integrity, and efficient operation of our in-house information systems that support core organizational functions.

Key Responsibilities:

Datacenter Management:
Install, configure, and maintain HP server hardware in a datacenter colocation environment.
Monitor datacenter health, including environmental factors, and respond to hardware issues and failures.

VMware Infrastructure:
Deploy and manage VMware virtualization technologies including vSphere, ESXi, and vCenter.
Configure and manage virtual networking, backup systems, VMware firewalls, and other virtual infrastructure components.

High Availability and Fault Tolerance:
Implement and maintain High Availability (HA) and Fault Tolerance (FT) configurations to ensure continuous service availability and minimal downtime.
Plan and execute disaster recovery operations, ensuring data integrity and system resilience.

vSAN Management:
Implement and manage VMware vSAN environments, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
Monitor vSAN health and performance, conducting routine maintenance and upgrades as needed.

Documentation and Compliance:
Maintain comprehensive documentation for system architectures, configurations, processes, and service records.
Ensure compliance with industry standards and company policies related to datacenter operations and data security.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
At least 3 years of experience in datacenter operations and VMware virtualization technologies.
Professional certifications in VMware (VCP-DCV, VCP-NV) and other relevant areas are highly desirable.
Strong understanding of networking principles, including VLAN, VPN, and firewall configurations.
Experience with backup and disaster recovery solutions.
