Job Summary:

We are looking for a detail-oriented Content Editor to join our team. The ideal candidate has a strong command of grammar and punctuation, a deep understanding of SEO, and the ability to work closely with writers to ensure content is polished and effective. This role involves editing a wide range of materials, ensuring consistency in tone and style, and optimizing content for readability and user experience.

Key Responsibilities:

Grammar and Spelling Review: Meticulously proofread and edit all content for grammar, spelling, and punctuation errors.
SEO Optimization: Ensure that content includes targeted keywords and adheres to SEO best practices to improve search engine rankings.
Visual Content Quality Control: Review visual elements like images and videos for quality and relevance to the written content.
Consistency in Writing Style: Ensure that all content aligns with the company’s tone, style, and branding guidelines.
Fact-Checking: Verify the accuracy of sources, statistics, and data in the content, ensuring all information is sourced from credible references.
Enhancing Readability and UX: Edit content to improve readability, making it accessible to a broad audience while maintaining clarity and flow.
Link Verification: Check internal and external links to ensure they are functional and point to credible and relevant resources.
Maintaining Content Structure: Ensure that content follows a logical structure with proper headings (H1, H2, H3) and a clear flow of information.
Avoiding Repetitiveness: Remove unnecessary repetition and ensure variety in sentence structure to maintain reader engagement.
Collaboration with Writers: Provide constructive feedback to writers and work closely with them to enhance the quality of content produced.

Qualifications:

Proven experience as a content editor or similar role.
Strong understanding of grammar, spelling, and punctuation rules.
Familiarity with SEO principles and content optimization.
Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
Attention to detail and ability to work independently.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Additionally, applicants should have proven experience in online writing, with a solid understanding of creating content for the web.

This is a full-time, remote position. Applicants must be available to work during standard working hours.
