About the Role

We are looking for a Chief Operating Officer to lead and scale the operational backbone of our last-mile delivery platform. You will own end-to-end delivery operations — including Supply Operations (courier fleet, live network monitoring, courier support, supply planning, and operational excellence) — and be accountable for the reliability, efficiency, and unit economics of every order we deliver.

This is a senior leadership role reporting directly to the CEO, with responsibility for translating company strategy into operational execution across a fast-moving, high-volume delivery network.

What You'll Do

- Own overall operational strategy and performance across the delivery network, including fulfillment rate, on-time delivery, and cost per order

- Lead and develop the Supply Operations organization (Strategy & Planning, Fleet Management, Live Monitoring, Support, and Operations Excellence), setting direction through the Head of Supply Operations and their teams

- Drive courier supply and demand balance at scale, ensuring the right capacity, cost structure, and service levels across cities and regions

- Set and govern operational budgets, including incentive spend, and ensure disciplined, ROI-driven investment

- Build scalable processes, SOPs, and automation to support rapid growth while controlling operational cost

- Partner with Product, Technology, Finance, and City/Regional leadership to align operations with company-wide priorities

- Establish and monitor key operational KPIs (fulfillment rate, courier retention, cost per active courier, on-time rate, CPO) and drive continuous improvement

- Build, mentor, and retain a high-performing operations leadership team

What Success Looks Like

You'll be measured on the overall health and efficiency of delivery operations — a strong balance of service reliability (fulfillment rate, on-time delivery) and cost discipline (cost per order, incentive ROI, cost per active courier) — while building an organization that scales sustainably as the business grows.

What We're Looking For

Education: Bachelor's degree required; MBA or Master's degree in Business, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain, Economics, or a related field strongly preferred.

Experience:

- 10+ years of progressive experience in operations leadership, with at least 4–5 years in a senior leadership role (VP Operations, Head of Operations, or similar)

- Proven experience scaling operations in a delivery, logistics, ride-hailing, e-commerce, or on-demand marketplace business

- Track record of managing multi-team organizations and driving results through data and process, not just intuition

Skills:

- Strong strategic and analytical thinking, with comfort operating in SQL/BI tools (Power BI, Grafana, or similar) at a leadership level

- Deep understanding of marketplace/supply-demand economics, incentive management, and unit economics

- Strong financial acumen, including budget ownership and P&L accountability

- Excellent leadership, team-building, and cross-functional stakeholder management skills

- Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, high-growth environment with shifting priorities

Nice to Have:

- Direct experience in last-mile food or grocery delivery

- Experience operating across multiple cities or regions simultaneously

- Familiarity with gig-economy workforce management and incentive-driven retention models
