About the Role
Wallex is looking for a Senior Fraud Analyst to be the platform's primary line of defense against fraudulent transactions and behavior. This role blends three skill sets: spotting patterns in data, risk analysis, and understanding how every security rule affects real user experience. Decisions made in this role directly impact the security of user assets and trust in the platform.

About the Role
Wallex is looking for a Senior Fraud Analyst to be the platform's primary line of defense against fraudulent transactions and behavior. This role blends three skill sets: spotting patterns in data, risk analysis, and understanding how every security rule affects real user experience. Decisions made in this role directly impact the security of user assets and trust in the platform.
Responsibilities
Monitor transactions and user behavior in real time to identify suspicious and fraudulent patterns
Design, tune, and continuously improve fraud detection rules and risk-scoring models
Investigate suspicious cases and decide on blocking, escalation, or approval of transactions
Reduce false positive rates through data analysis, minimizing unnecessary friction for legitimate users
Work closely with Product and UX teams to design authentication and risk-control flows that are both secure and smooth
Mine large datasets to uncover emerging fraud patterns before they become serious threats
Produce periodic reports on fraud trends, emerging risks, and recommended preventive actions for leadership
Collaborate with Legal/Compliance on regulatory reporting requirements
Define and track key risk indicators (KRIs) and maintain monitoring dashboards
Design, tune, and continuously improve fraud detection rules and risk-scoring models

Requirements
Minimum 4 years of experience in fraud or risk analysis, ideally in fintech, payments, or crypto
Hands-on proficiency in SQL and at least one BI tool (Metabase, Power BI, or similar)
Proven experience modeling and analyzing fraud patterns
Solid understanding of UX principles and ability to assess how risk decisions affect the user journey
Ability to analyze complex cases and make fast, accurate decisions under pressure
High attention to detail, strong analytical thinking, and comfort working with large volumes of data
Hands-on proficiency in SQL and at least one BI tool (Metabase, Power BI, or similar)
Proven experience modeling and analyzing fraud patterns
Solid understanding of UX principles and ability to assess how risk decisions affect the user journey
Ability to analyze complex cases and make fast, accurate decisions under pressure
High attention to detail, strong analytical thinking, and comfort working with large volumes of data
Nice to Have
Familiarity with blockchain and the unique characteristics of crypto transactions (irreversibility, wallet addresses, etc.)
Experience with specialized fraud/AML tools such as Chain lysis or SEON
Basic knowledge of machine learning for anomaly detection
