Wallex is seeking a highly service-oriented and technically proficient IT Support Specialist to join our IT department. This role is hands-on and operational, ensuring fast, accurate, and high-quality support for all internal users across multiple company sites. The IT Support Specialist plays a key role in maintaining workstation infrastructure, managing help desk processes, supporting enterprise applications, and ensuring smooth day-to-day IT operations within a high-performance fintech environment.
Responsibilities
End-User Support & Help Desk Operations
Provide Help Desk support and resolve issues to end-users’ satisfaction
Monitor and respond quickly to requests received through the IT Help Desk
Process service desk tickets based on priority (FIFO)
Modify workstation configurations, software settings, and utilities
Assist with onboarding of new employees and provisioning of equipment
Manage PC setup and deployment using standard images and hardware
Ensure each workstation has required accessories and specialized equipment
Workstation & Hardware Management
Install, configure, and test new workstations and peripherals
Perform timely hardware and software upgrades
Maintain accurate inventory of hardware, software, and licenses
Lift and transport equipment up to 30 kg across different company sites
Application Support & System Operations
Assist in installing, deploying, upgrading, or maintaining enterprise applications
Support software releases, patches, migrations, refreshes, and restores
Perform configuration, change management, and test activities
Function as technical support in implementation or upgrade projects
Work with Enterprise Application Administrators to resolve performance issues
Interface with external vendors when required
Documentation & Process Compliance
Document procedures, configurations, and operational workflows
Maintain updated inventory assessments and IT documentation
Report escalations to Jira Service Desk as required
Strict emphasis on DOCUMENTATION across all tasks
Cross-Team Collaboration
Work closely with Senior IT Specialists, Junior IT Specialists, and IT Management
Support multiple departments and all employees of the organization
Provide customer-oriented service with strong communication and problem-solving skills
Requirements
Education
Associate degree in IT, Computer Science, or related discipline (Bachelor’s preferred)
Experience
Familiarity with enterprise workplace environments
Hands-on experience with desktop operating systems and hardware troubleshooting
Certificates
CompTIA Network+ (required)
CompTIA A+ (optional)
CompTIA Security+ (optional)
MCSA/MCSE (optional)
Technical Skills
Strong troubleshooting and analytical abilities
Knowledge of workstation hardware and peripherals
Experience with Windows desktop environments
Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple assignments
Strong documentation and communication capabilities
High customer-service orientation
Ability to research technical issues quickly and effectively
