We are looking for a Senior Backend Developer, a growing wholesale FMCG marketplace and subsidiary of Golrang Industrial Group.
As part of our small team, you'll make significant impact on FMCG distribution across Iran, working across diverse domains including warehouse management, marketplace operations, shipment tracking and planning, and financial systems.
Responsibilities:
As part of our small team, you'll make significant impact on FMCG distribution across Iran, working across diverse domains including warehouse management, marketplace operations, shipment tracking and planning, and financial systems.
Responsibilities:
- Own the architecture and technical direction of our core backend systems, maintaining our strictly modular monolith approach
- Design scalable, maintainable systems across warehouse management, marketplace operations, and financial transactions with focus on extensibility and testability
- Mentor and elevate the team through code reviews, pair programming, and technical guidance
- Drive technical decisions in collaboration with product and business teams, balancing technical excellence with business needs.
Technical Requirements:
- Strong backend development experience with object-oriented languages (PHP/Laravel experience is a plus - our stack is modern PHP 8.3+ with strict typing)
- Proven system design skills - you've architected maintainable solutions, not just maintained existing code
- Deep SQL expertise - complex queries, indexing strategies, and performance optimization in MySQL
- DevOps proficiency - comfortable with Docker, Linux environments, and CI/CD pipelines (Kubernetes knowledge valued)
Nice to Have:
- Experience with search technologies (Elasticsearch, MeiliSearch)
- API design and integration experience
- Queue and async processing systems
