This role will be instrumental in developing our online platform's performance by optimizing merchandising for products and categories, managing pricing strategies, increasing user basket size, and enhancing vendor service levels.
Responsibilities:
Develop and execute online merchandising strategies focusing on specific category pricing, promotions, and vendor deals.
Lead the development of the assigned categories for all channels by building vendor and shopper insights and translating these insights into business-building opportunities.
Identify and suggest optimal category roles and product roles within merchandising.
Conduct benchmarking analysis of other online grocery platforms to bring innovative ideas and suggestions.
Track and analyze the performance of merchandising initiatives and make data-driven adjustments to optimize results.
Prepare monthly rolling forecasts for assigned channels, including promotion sell-out volume and incremental sales volume.
Create and present monthly and weekly reports on category and sub-category performance to managers.
Qualifications:
Strong analytical skills and business mindset with proven business management competency.
Strong market research knowledge and data analysis skills.
Proactive, confident, and able to work under high pressure.
At least three years of experience in a relevant position in the FMCG or tech industries, with experience in sales planning and trade marketing being an advantage
