We are seeking a proven Last-mile Manager who is passionate last mile delivery. Our Last-mile manager must have a proficient background in the last mile field, with the abilities to oversee all delivery activity for a fast-growing company. The Manager will work closely with the senior leadership team. A last mile manager is responsible for ensuring timely, efficient, and cost-effective delivery, as well as maintaining customer satisfaction
Responsibilities:
Coordinating and communicating with the 3PL (Third-Party Logistics) providers to ensure the quality and consistency of the delivery service
Implementing and testing new technologies and innovations to improve the delivery efficiency and customer experience
Monitoring and evaluating the performance and compliance of the 3PL providers
Resolving any issues or disputes with the logistics providers or customers
Analyzing and optimizing the delivery routes and schedules
Collaborating with other departments and stakeholders to ensure smooth and seamless delivery service
Ensure high levels of service, completion and on-time deliveries
Communicate daily and weekly performance
Monitor weekly reports to ensure financial goals are being met
Coordinate with customer service to ensure that all customers are satisfied
Ensures all claims are charged back to the appropriate contract carrier
Train and oversee local staff members
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent related work experience
+7 years of managerial/supervisory experience in the Last Mile, independent carrier business model
Experience with Microsoft Office and proficient in Excel
Availability to work a flexible schedule as needed, including planned and unplanned overtime, which may include weekends
Experience in warehousing or Third-Party Logistics (3PL)
Solid understanding maintaining a safe work environment by monitoring and enforcing safety procedures across all departments
Strong problem-solving techniques and statistical analysis skills
