Job Summary:

The Head of Data Engineer & BI is responsible for leading the strategic direction, development, and implementation of data engineering and business intelligence initiatives within the organization. This role involves overseeing the collection and utilization of data to drive informed decision-making, improve operational efficiency, and enhance business performance.

The Head of Data Engineer & BI will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to identify business needs, define key performance indicators (KPIs), and develop data-driven solutions to achieve organizational objectives.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and execute a comprehensive data strategy aligned with organizational goals and objectives.
  2. Lead a team of data engineers and business intelligence professionals, providing guidance, mentorship, and support to foster professional growth and excellence.
  3. Establish and maintain data governance policies, procedures, and standards to ensure data quality, integrity, and security across all platforms and systems.
  4. Oversee the design, development, and maintenance of data architectures, data models, and data warehouses to support analytics and reporting requirements.
  5. Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand requirements, define metrics, and prioritize data analytics projects and initiatives.
  6. Develop and deliver regular reports, dashboards, and visualizations to communicate key performance metrics to stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  7. Stay abreast of industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in data engineering, business intelligence, and data management to continuously enhance organizational capabilities.
 

Qualifications:

  1. Proven experience (2 years) in a leadership role overseeing data analytics, business intelligence, or related functions within a complex organization.
  2. Demonstrated expertise in data management, data warehousing, data modeling, and data governance principles and practices.
  3. Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data sets and derive actionable insights.
  4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  5. Experience managing cross-functional teams and driving collaborative decision-making processes.
  6. Proven track record of successfully implementing data-driven solutions that deliver measurable business impact.
  7. Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
  8. High level of integrity, professionalism, and accountability, with a commitment to upholding ethical standards and protecting sensitive information.
The Head of Data Engineer & BI plays a critical role in leveraging data assets to drive strategic decision-making and enhance organizational performance. This position requires a combination of technical expertise, leadership skills, and business acumen to effectively manage data-related initiatives and drive continuous improvement.


Good to have:

  1. Familiar with analytics techniques, including predictive modeling, machine learning, and artificial intelligence, to extract actionable insights and drive business value.
  2. Ability of Monitoring and analyzing and understanding data trends, patterns, and anomalies to identify opportunities for process improvement, revenue enhancement, and cost optimization.
  3. Proficiency in data analytics tools and technologies, such as Python, R, Tableau etc.
