The Company:

We are looking to scale our editorial production and impact to make a great resource for business and immigration matters and their intersection. Our magazine production is seasonal, but the brand is digitally active on a daily basis sharing news, inspirational stories, highlights, interviews, events, business & self-development activities, and tools to regularly guide, educate our readers and help them grow, when it comes business & immigration - the Editor-in-Chief will play an important role in getting us there.

The Opportunity:

MSH, the Holding company, is seeking a dynamic, innovative journalism leader to oversee the editorial and content of its seasonal magazine, and social media platforms. The right candidate will be committed to journalistic excellence, with strengths in developing enterprise reporting and digital-first thinking.

The role requires a strategic mind and a track record/good experience in digital journalism. As our Editor-in-Chief, you will lead the content creation of the magazine, website, and other publishing platforms, ensuring that our content is performant, unique, and impactful. To be successful in this role, you must have a great eye for recognizing impactful and unique stories that have a high potential for virality across diverse topics. We are looking for someone who seeks continuous improvement, personally and professionally, and has the skills and experience with social media to exponentially grow our reach.

What you’ll do:

● To create great on-brand content that performs online, leveraging next-level editorial judgment;

● To scale your vision by building effective editorial processes;

● To manage the day-to-day editorial operations for all content verticals, through setting the monthly editorial calendar, ensuring that deadlines are met and content quality and performance meet and exceed standards;

● To establish and refine our editorial processes to ensure that the production and publication of content happen on a regular and optimized cadence;

● To distribute content across platforms like Instagram, LinkedIn, and Telegram.

● To establish and monitor KPIs that reflect our business and audience objectives.

● To get engaged with other content creation activities (for ad-hoc projects & purposes), when needed, and as required

Our ideal candidate has:

● Editorial judgment: What it takes to recognize, write and distribute great stories that perform online;

● Is plugged into business, immigration, and political trends;

● An excellent understanding of content strategy on social media as well as SEO;

● An analytical mindset: Supports decisions through data and is curious about what drives performance;

● Management skills: able to organize resources and manage a team effectively;

● A high-quality standard for editorial and formatting;

Qualifications:

● Minimum 3 years of professional experience in a similar role in a dynamic environment;

● Relevant Education; a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree.

● Advanced writing in English & Farsi

● Knowledge of SEO

● Knowledge of social media

● Knowledge of Analytical tools i.e., Google Analytics
