Quantitative Market Analyst

An international business and management team with investment management and research focused on energy, and raw materials markets is looking for a candidate to be assigned in charge of the quantitative market analysis and tool development using a data-driven approach to trading. The main responsibilities consist in maintain and develop databases, modeling and algorithmic systems. Communication of the results is an important responsibility both within the company in regular meetings with senior analysis and externally by participation in development of market reviews or podcasts.

Main responsibilities:

· Provide real-time news analysis to traders, including potential impact.

· Maintain and develop a database of events and option pricing inputs. Automation of the database in terms of data collection, visualization, comparison, etc.

· Construct possible outcomes for both short and medium term equity moving events.

· Develop, maintain, and enhance trading models, algorithms, and systems

· Continuously contribute to the team’s investment strategies

· Research new market opportunities

· Organize regular meetings with senior analysts to present results and analyze market

· Carries out any other tasks assigned by the relevant superiors as pertain to his/her background, qualifications and position

Working Language: English

Part-time occupation

Competences and Qualification:

Education: University degree in Computer Science, Al, Economics or in a relevant discipline. Being a Sharif University of Technology alumni is an asset.

Work Experience: Minimum 2 years

Skills:

· Strong programming skills in C++, Python and/or MATLAB. Knowledge and experience in machine learning based modeling.

· Proficient in database applications (for example, SQL or KDB). Ability to work with large data-sets.

· Degree in a quantitative field such as Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, data science, Physics, or related fields

· Strong communication skills (ability to present complex issues clearly, both verbally and in writing)
- Analytical thinking and problem solving skills

· A desire to continuously learn and proactively improve processes

· Prior experience in finance is a plus but not necessary

Benefits:

Working in an international multi-disciplinary project and development of strong skills. Remuneration will be based on the profile of the candidate with a fixed and variable part based on the performance.
