Overview
At bluBank, We are looking for a Technical QA Specialist with strong experience in banking systems, API integrations, and operational service validation. This role is responsible for validating, testing, monitoring, and supporting banking services and integrations related to Central Bank services, third-party providers, and internal banking platforms.
The ideal candidate has hands-on experience in functional testing, integration testing, performance testing, and operational troubleshooting within banking or fintech environments. This role requires strong analytical thinking, deep understanding of banking workflows, and the ability to validate end-to-end business processes across multiple systems.
In addition to QA responsibilities, the candidate will also participate in operational support activities within a 24/7 production environment.
Key Responsibilities
Functional & Integration Testing
- Analyze, validate, and test banking services, APIs, and integrations before production release.
- Design and execute functional, integration, regression, and end-to-end test scenarios.
- Validate business flows and transaction lifecycles across multiple banking systems and external providers.
- Coordinate testing activities related to Central Bank services and third-party integrations.
API & System Validation
- Test REST/SOAP APIs and integration services using tools such as Postman and scripting utilities.
- Validate request/response structures, business rules, transaction integrity, and system behaviors.
- Investigate edge cases, failure scenarios, timeout handling, retries, duplicate requests, and operational exceptions.
Performance & Load Testing
- Perform performance, stress, and load testing for banking services and APIs.
- Analyze system behavior under load and identify bottlenecks or operational risks.
- Collaborate with technical teams to improve service reliability and scalability.
Database & Log Analysis
- Execute SQL queries to validate transactional data and investigate operational issues.
- Analyze logs and operational events using Kibana, Grafana, and related monitoring tools.
- Validate reconciliation processes and transaction consistency across systems.
Operational Support & Incident Handling
- Participate in operational support activities for production banking systems.
- Support incident investigation and troubleshooting in coordination with development, infrastructure, and operations teams.
- Assist in monitoring critical banking services and responding to production incidents.
Documentation & Process Improvement
- Prepare and maintain testing documentation, test scenarios, validation reports, and operational records.
- Contribute to improving QA processes, operational workflows, and testing standards.
- Participate in knowledge sharing and process enhancement initiatives.
Requirements
Experience
- Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in banking, fintech, PSP, or digital banking environments.
- Strong experience in technical QA, banking integrations, operational validation, or production support.
- Experience working with transaction-based and high-availability systems.
Technical Skills
- Strong understanding of banking workflows, transaction lifecycles, and operational processes.
- Hands-on experience with API testing and integration validation using Postman or similar tools.
- Experience with functional, integration, regression, and performance testing.
- Familiarity with load testing tools and methodologies.
- Good knowledge of SQL and database validation techniques.
- Experience analyzing logs and monitoring systems such as Kibana and Grafana.
- Familiarity with Linux environments and operational troubleshooting.
- Understanding of observability, monitoring, and incident management concepts.
