Job Description

Pelk is looking for a new member to join our online creative social media team. Our team has an opening for a talented and creative graphic designer with relevant practical knowledge and solid skills. You will use your creative talents to visualize ideas and create exceptional graphics that draw and retain attention.

Responsibilities:

Study design briefs and determine requirements.
Conceptualize visuals based on requirements.
Prepare rough drafts and present ideas.
Develop illustrations, logos, and other designs using software or by hand.
Use the appropriate colors and layouts for each graphic.
Ensure final graphics and layouts are visually appealing and on-brand.

Requirements:

Demonstrable fluency with Adobe CC suite of products including Photoshop, In-Design, and Illustrator.
Practical knowledge of graphic designing, typography designing, Illustrating, and sketching.
A strong portfolio of illustrations or other graphics.
An eye for detail and a good understanding of layout and color.
Creatively convey ideas through text and image.
Share learnings across the company to constantly improve the quality and effectiveness of our work.
Strong English reading, comprehension, and self-study skills are necessary.
Manage multiple projects in an organized way that guarantees on-time delivery and a clear workflow.
Good at brainstorming, taking direction, collaborating, and being part of a team.
Ability to work independently with little or no daily supervision.
Ability to attend weekly or monthly in-person meetings.

Preferred Qualifications:

Degree in Graphic Design, Communication, Art, Illustration.
Practical knowledge of industrial photography.

Working Hours:

Saturdays to Tuesdays (10 AM to 14:30PM)
Wednesdays (10 AM to 13 PM)
