Position Overview: As an Application Security Engineer, you will play a vital role in ensuring the security and integrity of our software applications. You will work closely with our development teams to identify potential security vulnerabilities, design and implement robust security measures, and perform thorough security assessments to safeguard our systems. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual who is passionate about application security and desires to work in a challenging and collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities:

● Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, architects, and product managers, to integrate security measures throughout the software development life cycle.

● Conduct security reviews and assessments of applications, identifying vulnerabilities, and recommending appropriate countermeasures.

● Develop and implement application security guidelines, best practices, and coding standards.

● Perform code reviews to identify security flaws, ensuring adherence to secure coding practices.

● Design and execute penetration testing and vulnerability scanning to identify system weaknesses.

● Stay up to date with the latest security trends, technologies, and vulnerabilities, and proactively mitigate potential risks.

● Provide guidance and training to development teams on secure coding practices and application security principles.

Qualifications and Skills:

● Solid experience in application security engineering, including threat modeling, secure code review, and vulnerability assessment.

● Proficiency in various programming languages, such as PHP, Go, or JavaScript.

● Strong knowledge of web application security, including OWASP Top 10 vulnerabilities and mitigation techniques.

● Familiarity with security testing tools, such as Burp Suite, Nessus, or AppScan.

● Experience with secure coding practices and familiarity with frameworks such as Secure SDLC and BSIMM.

● Understanding of cloud security principles, containerization, and microservices architecture.

● Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to analyze complex systems for security weaknesses.
