The Role:
- Senior Software Engineer, Platform and Site Reliability Engineering Team:
We are seeking a highly skilled SWE - SRE to join our Platform Team. This role is critical to ensuring the reliability, scalability, and performance of our digital exchange and trading platform.
As part of our mission, you will tackle complex challenges like optimising cloud traffic for our endpoints and API gateways, improving observability, and driving innovations in platform automation, development, and security.

Key Responsibilities:
- Enhance platform observability, monitoring, and scalability to solve large-scale traffic challenges with precision and performance.
- Architect, design, and document scalable tools and infrastructure using IaC, GitOps, and DevSecOps principles.
- Develop and review code, debug intricate system issues, and create robust capacity plans for low- to high-level platform layers.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to maintain system reliability and scalability.
- Participate in on-call rotations and adapt to flexible working hours as needed.
Technical Expertise:
- Strong knowledge of L4 and L7 load balancers, HTTP caching, and reverse proxy technologies.
- Deep expertise in Unix/Linux systems internals, OS fundamentals, and TCP/IP networking.
- Hands-on experience with networking protocols including DNS, HTTP(s), TLS, DHCP, SSH, SNMP, etc.
- Proficiency in IPC methods, event-notification mechanisms, and concurrency strategies.
- Expert-level programming skills in any of Go, Rust, or C.
Orchestration & Virtualisation:
- Advanced understanding of orchestration platforms like Kubernetes and Nomad.
- Extensive experience with OS-level virtualisation technologies (e.g., Linux Docker, LXC, FreeBSD Jails, Solaris Zones).
- Strong grasp of full virtualisation concepts and internals with hands-on experience with at least one hypervisor (e.g., VMware, KVM, Bhyve, etc.)
Soft Skills:
- Excellent collaboration skills in a highly dynamic team environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
Experience:
- 10+ years of operational experience managing large-scale, high-performance systems and internet services.
