At Okala, we are changing the game in the Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) sector, creating a new online grocery shopping experience for Iranians. Our Campaign team collaborates to make it happen. We have an exciting opportunity for you to join us as a crucial part of our team as a Senior Public Relations specialist.

Responsibilities:

Develop and execute comprehensive public relations strategies to enhance brand visibility, generate positive media coverage, and drive engagement with key stakeholders.
Cultivate and maintain relationships with journalists, editors, bloggers, influencers, and other media contacts to secure media placements and coverage across various platforms.
Write and distribute press releases, media advisories, and other communications materials to announce company news, product launches, and other key initiatives.
Serve as the company spokesperson and media liaison, responding to media inquiries, and interview requests, and managing media relations during crises.
Monitor media coverage and industry trends, track and analyze PR metrics, and prepare regular reports to measure the effectiveness of PR campaigns and initiatives.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, social media, and senior leadership, to align PR efforts with overall business goals and objectives.
Plan and coordinate media events, press conferences, interviews, and other PR activities to maximize media exposure and coverage.
Stay informed about industry regulations, best practices, and emerging trends in public relations, and integrate new strategies and tactics into PR campaigns as needed.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, or a related field.
Minimum 5 years of experience in public relations, corporate communications, or related field.
Proven track record of securing media coverage, building relationships with media contacts, and managing PR campaigns.
Excellent writing, editing, and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling narratives and messages for various audiences.
Strong media relations skills, with the ability to pitch stories, manage media inquiries, and coordinate interviews and media opportunities.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment, managing multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
Demonstrated ability to think strategically, solve problems, and drive results.
