We are looking for an Animation Director for one of our clients in Game Development in Europe.

*Our payment is in Euro

Responsibilities

Define, hold and drive the projects artistic vision in line with the overall creative direction for the game, oversee quality management
Works with Animation Department Head to define department strategies and goals relating to areas of expertise
Develop efficient and productive art pipelines and establish metrics that ensure artistic goals are met within technical performance targets
Create and support department documentation
Track the advancement of the work to be done by his team to ensure the quality and timeliness of the deliverables
Involve in people management in case of evaluating professional skills of internal/external candidates. Responsible for hiring decision making in cases for hiring art specialists
Mentor Associate Art Directors and Senior Artists. Offers regular guidance and direction.
Conduct Art knowledge sharing sessions or training classes to raise the quality bar within the studio.

Requirements

At least 5-8 years’ experience in game art production environment
Personal animation portfolio is highly welcome
Examples of finished AAA game projects
A thorough understanding of art pipelines, capacities and technical constraints related to different game engines
Can deputize for the Animation Department Head when and if required
Can work across multiple projects when required
Maintains a strong artistic judgement
Can positively critique animation submissions, ensuring overall quality for the studio
Expert knowledge in 3d animation packages like Maya and Motion builder
Helps guide animation workflows and pipelines with clients
Great interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to drive the project animation schedule ensuring timely deliveries for clients
Builds strong relationships across all department’s disciplines
