شرح موقعیت شغلی

We are a leading UK-based company specialising in hospitality and hotel management software solutions, partnering with some of the largest hotel chains globally. As we continue to grow, we're on the hunt for a talented Ruby Backend Developer to join our international team. This role is remote, offering an attractive salary in US Dollars, and requires an intermediate (or above) level of English proficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

Developing and maintaining our core Ruby backend services, ensuring their scalability, robustness, and responsiveness.
Contribute to the entire application lifecycle - concept, design, test, release, and support.
Collaborate with our team of software engineers to design and launch new features.
Producing clean, efficient code based on specifications and performing code reviews.
Integration of user-facing elements developed by front-end developers with server-side logic.
Building reusable code and libraries for future use.
Implementation of security and data protection measures.
Identification and troubleshooting of coding problems swiftly and efficiently.
Manage cutting-edge technologies to improve legacy applications.
Following emerging technologies or applications and the impact they’ll have on our systems and business.
Collaborate with front-end developers to integrate user-facing elements with server logic.
Conducting functional and non-functional testing of the applications developed.
Working with cloud platforms like AWS or Google Cloud.
Help to maintain the quality of the code, organization, and automatization.

Qualifications:

Proven experience as a Ruby Backend Developer or similar role.
Excellent understanding of Ruby syntax and its nuances.
Solid understanding of object-oriented programming.
Good understanding of server-side CSS preprocessors.
Basic understanding of front-end technologies and platforms, such as JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3.
Familiarity with concepts of MVC, Mocking, ORM, and RESTful.
Proficient understanding of code versioning tools like Git.
Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or relevant field is a plus.
