Senior Backend Engineer

Job Type: Full-Time

We are looking for an exceptional Senior Backend Engineer to architect, build, and scale high-performance distributed systems. You will be joining a highly technical team tackling complex engineering challenges across microservices architecture, event-driven pipelines, and cutting-edge AI integrations. If you thrive in a polyglot environment and have a deep understanding of system performance, we want you on our team.

What You Will Do

Design & Architecture: Architect, build, and maintain low-latency, high-throughput REST and gRPC APIs, and scalable event-driven microservices.
System Optimization: Apply deep knowledge of concurrency, memory models, and performance tuning to optimize critical infrastructure.
Data & AI Integration: Design robust data models across relational and NoSQL databases, and integrate modern AI/ML capabilities (LLMs, RAG pipelines) into production systems.
Cloud & Deployment: Manage containerized workloads and orchestrate deployments using modern cloud-native infrastructure.
Engineering Excellence: Champion robust testing disciplines (unit, integration, load) and streamline Git-based CI/CD workflows.

Core Requirements

Experience: 7+ years of production software engineering experience.
Polyglot Proficiency: Deep expertise in at least two of Go, Java, Rust, and Python, with a working fluency in the others.
Language: Excellent mastery of the English language is mandatory.
Systems Knowledge: Strong grasp of concurrency, memory models, and performance tuning. Proven experience designing REST/gRPC APIs and event-driven architectures.
Database Expertise: Solid knowledge of PostgreSQL and production experience with at least one NoSQL store (Redis, DynamoDB, MongoDB).
Message Brokering: Hands-on experience with asynchronous messaging systems such as Kafka, RabbitMQ, or NATS.
Infrastructure: Deep hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and at least one major cloud platform (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
Best Practices: Strong testing discipline and mastery of collaborative Git-based workflows.

Languages: Go, Java (Spring Boot, Quarkus), Rust (Tokio, Axum), Python (FastAPI, Django)

Data Stores: PostgreSQL, Redis, Kafka, ClickHouse, Elasticsearch/OpenSearch

Infrastructure & CI/CD: Kubernetes, Terraform, Helm, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI

Observability: Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry, Loki

Protocols & APIs: gRPC, Protobuf, GraphQL, WebSockets, OAuth2/OIDC

AI/ML: LLM APIs, vector databases (pgvector, Qdrant), RAG pipelines
