Job Summary
We are looking for a great Senior software engineer who possesses a strong understanding of how best to leverage and exploit the language’s unique paradigms, idioms, and syntax. Your primary focus will be on developing Go packages and programs that are scalable and maintainable. You will ensure that these Go packages and programs are well documented and have reasonable test coverage. You will coordinate with the rest of the team working on different layers of the infrastructure. A commitment to collaborative problem solving, sophisticated design, and quality product is essential. Additionally, as a senior developer, you will take on leadership responsibilities, mentoring junior developers and leading technical training sessions.

Job Responsibilities

Writing scalable, clean, high-performance, testable, efficient code
Translating software requirements into stable, working, high-performance software
Building reusable code and libraries for future use
Participating in the entire application lifecycle, focusing on coding and debugging
Leading and mentoring junior developers, providing guidance and technical training
Leading code reviews and ensuring adherence to best practices and coding standards
Collaborating with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features
Identifying and fixing bottlenecks and bugs

Job Skills & Qualifications

At least 6 years of experience in software development
At least 2 years of experience in software development with Go programming language
Strong knowledge of Go programming language, paradigms, constructs, and idioms
Knowledge of common Goroutine and channel patterns
Familiar with design patterns
Experience with popular Go web frameworks such as Fiber, Echo, etc.
Ability to write clean and effective Godoc comments
Familiarity with code versioning tools (such as Git)
Being familiar with CI/CD solutions (i.e., GitLab CI)
Experience with PostgreSQL or MySQL
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Knowledge of queues such as ActiveMQ, RabbitMQ, or Kafka

Preferred Qualifications

Familiarity with front-end languages (e.g., HTML, JavaScript, and CSS)
Experience with developing microservices
Experience with gRPC and Protobuf
Familiarity with cloud platforms like DigitalOcean, etc
Experience with ELK
Proven experience in leadership roles, including mentoring and training junior developers
