communication solutions for businesses.

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and proactive BI Developer to join our team at an exciting and critical
juncture. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with the BI Stack and a strong background in
designing data infrastructure, developing ETL pipelines, and performance monitoring. As we are starting
from the ground up, it is crucial for this individual to take full ownership of establishing and maintaining
our business intelligence framework, driving data-driven decision-making across the company.

Responsibilities:

Data Warehousing and Data Infrastructure Design:

  • Design and implement a robust data warehousing solution that efficiently integrates, stores, and 
  • manages data from various sources.
  • Develop a scalable data infrastructure that supports current and future data needs, ensuring data 
  • integrity, security, and accessibility.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand data requirements and translate them into effective data 
  • models and architectures.
  • Optimize data storage and retrieval processes to enhance performance and reliability.
  •  Maintain comprehensive documentation of the data infrastructure design and implementation process.
ETL Pipeline Development:

  • Build and maintain ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) pipelines to consolidate data from multiple sources.
  •  Ensure data quality and consistency across all ETL processes.
  •  Implement data cleaning and transformation procedures to prepare data for analysis.
  •  Continuously monitor and optimize ETL pipelines to improve efficiency and performance.
  •  Document ETL processes and workflows for future reference and scalability.
Visualization and Dashboarding:

  •  Create interactive and intuitive dashboards and reports to visualize key metrics and insights.
  •  Utilize tools such as Superset or similar to develop visualizations that support data-driven decision 
  • making.
  •  Collaborate with business stakeholders to identify visualization needs and ensure dashboards meet their 
  • requirements.
  •  Regularly update and maintain dashboards to reflect the most current data and insights.
  •  Train end-users on how to effectively use dashboards and visualizations for their daily tasks.
Big Data Stack (Optional/Advantage):

  •  Explore and evaluate big data technologies such as Kafka, Hive, and Spark to determine their potential 
  • benefits for our data infrastructure.
  •  Implement big data solutions if deemed advantageous, integrating them with existing data systems.
  •  Maintain knowledge of emerging big data tools and techniques to continuously improve data processing 
  • capabilities.
  •  Ensure big data implementations are scalable, efficient, and aligned with business objectives.
  •  Document big data architecture and processes, providing guidance for future expansion and 
  • maintenance.
Requirements:

  •  Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  •  More than 4 years of experience in positions such as BI Developer, Data Engineer, or similar roles.
  •  Proficiency in both relational and non-relational databases.
  •  Experience with relational databases such as SQL Server, MySQL, or PostgreSQL.
  •  Experience with non-relational databases such as MongoDB, Cassandra, or Couchbase.
  •  Strong knowledge of data warehousing concepts and best practices.
  •  Experience with data warehousing tools such as SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS), Amazon Redshift, or Snowflake.
  •  Proficiency in data management techniques to ensure data integrity, quality, and security.
  •  Familiar with programming languages such as Python.
  •  Familiarity with big data technologies such as Kafka, Hive, and Spark.
  •  Understanding of how big data technologies can be integrated into a data infrastructure.
  •  Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools.
  •  Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker.
  •  Understanding of how to deploy and manage applications in a containerized environment
