شرح موقعیت شغلی

About the Role:
We are looking for an experienced SQL Server Database Administrator (DBA) with in-depth expertise in managing and optimizing SQL Server environments. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in high-availability solutions, backup and restore management, performance optimization, and automation using scripting tools. You will play a critical role in ensuring the stability, performance, and security of our database systems.

Key Responsibilities:
1. High Availability and Disaster Recovery:
• Manage and configure Always On Availability Groups (AG) and Distributed AG for high availability and failover.
• Implement and maintain disaster recovery plans and procedures.
2. Backup and Restore Management:
• Develop and oversee regular database backup and restore strategies.
• Ensure backup integrity and recovery processes align with business continuity plans.
3. Database Monitoring and Performance Optimization:
• Monitor database performance and proactively address issues to ensure optimal functionality.
• Perform tasks such as indexing, refactoring, and statistics management to improve query performance.
4. Data Partitioning and Maintenance:
• Implement data partitioning strategies to optimize database performance and manage large datasets efficiently.
5. Integration Services:
• Work with SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) to design, implement, and manage ETL processes.
6. Automation and Scripting:
• Develop and maintain scripts in Bash and PowerShell for automation, system maintenance, and deployment tasks.
7. SQL Expertise:
• Apply in-depth knowledge of SQL Server database architecture and functionalities.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex database issues.

Qualifications:
• Experience:
• 3+ years as a SQL Server DBA or in a similar role.
• Proven expertise in Always On AG, Distributed AG, and failover configurations.
• Strong hands-on experience with backup and restore operations, monitoring tools, and optimization techniques.
• Technical Skills:
• Proficient in SQL Server database management, partitioning, and query optimization.
• Advanced knowledge of Bash and PowerShell scripting.
• Experience with SSIS and ETL processes.
• Solid understanding of indexing strategies and statistics management.
• Soft Skills:
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.

Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience with other DB engines (e.g., Postgres , Mongo).
• Familiarity with other database systems and tools.
