DevOps Engineer
About the Role
At Jibimo, customer experience is at the heart of everything we build. We're looking for a passionate and experienced DevOps Engineer to help us build, automate, and maintain reliable infrastructure that powers our products.
In this role, you'll collaborate closely with software engineers to streamline deployments, improve system reliability, automate operational processes, and ensure our development, staging, and production environments remain secure and highly available.

Responsibilities
● Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines.
● Deploy application updates and infrastructure changes with minimal downtime.
● Maintain and optimize development, staging, and production environments.
● Monitor system health, performance, and availability using modern observability tools.
● Troubleshoot production incidents and perform root cause analysis.
● Automate operational tasks using scripts and infrastructure tools.
● Collaborate with development teams to improve deployment processes and system reliability.
● Optimize containerized workloads and orchestration platforms.
● Manage web servers, databases, caching layers, and application infrastructure.
● Implement security best practices across infrastructure and deployment pipelines.
● Create and maintain technical documentation and operational procedures.
Requirements
● 2+ years of experience as a DevOps Engineer, Site Reliability Engineer (SRE), or similar role.
● Strong experience with Linux (Ubuntu/Unix environments).
● Solid knowledge of Git, Git workflows, and GitLab CI/CD (GitLab Runner).
● Hands-on experience with Docker and containerized applications.
● Experience with Kubernetes (preferred) or Docker Swarm.
● Experience with Nginx and PHP-based applications .
● Good understanding of MySQL, MongoDB, Redis, and caching strategies.
● Experience with monitoring and observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, and the ELK Stack.
● Experience writing Bash or Python scripts for automation.
● Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code tools.
● Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
● Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
