Job Title: Audio Editor for Podcasts

Job Description:

We are looking for a talented and passionate Audio Editor to join our dynamic team, dedicated to producing high-quality podcasts. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical skills in audio editing, a keen ear for storytelling, and the ability to enhance the overall listening experience of our audience. As an Audio Editor, you will work closely with our content creators to refine, edit, and produce engaging audio content that captivates listeners and adheres to our brand standards.

Responsibilities:

Edit and assemble recorded raw material into a finished product suitable for broadcasting. The material may include camera footage, dialogue, sound effects, graphics, and special effects.
Identify and remove any unwanted sounds or sections of a podcast to ensure clear audio quality and coherence in the narrative.
Mix and balance speech, music, and sound effects to achieve the desired sound atmosphere.
Apply audio restoration techniques to minimize background noise and enhance voice clarity.
Collaborate with producers, hosts, and other team members to achieve the desired creative vision.
Ensure all podcasts are edited and published on schedule, maintaining the highest standards of audio quality.
Stay updated with the latest trends in podcasting and audio editing technologies and techniques.
Provide technical support for recording sessions when necessary.
Archive and organize audio files efficiently.

Requirements:

Proven experience as an audio editor or in a similar role, with a portfolio of work that demonstrates your expertise in podcast editing.
Proficient in audio editing software such as Adobe Audition, Pro Tools, Logic Pro, or similar.
Excellent ear for audio quality, detail-oriented, and capable of delivering constructive feedback to content creators.
Strong communication and collaboration skills, able to work effectively in a team environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Creative thinking and problem-solving abilities, with a passion for storytelling and podcasting.
Familiarity with the podcasting industry and current trends.
Bachelor's degree in Audio Engineering, Sound Design, or related field is preferred but not required.
Flexibility to adapt to changing schedules and tight deadlines.
