Job Description:

We are looking to hire a Lead Linux Systems Architect to join our IT Operations team. This role is vital to our ongoing success and growth, as the Lead Linux Systems Architect is responsible for defining the strategy, deployment, configuration, and monitoring of our Linux systems. Furthermore, this role also encompasses the availability, latency, change management, emergency response, incident handling, and capacity management of services in production.

Responsibilities:
•Leading the design, implementation, and testing of system architectures in line with business needs and strategic objectives.
•Developing and maintaining close collaborations with software developers to ensure new environments meet requirements and are in line with best practices.
•Overseeing the system and server administration processes, providing direct support during various operations such as deployment and general production.
•Automating deployment of Linux applications, system configurations, and security settings, creating streamlined, efficient processes.
•Prioritizing and managing requests from operations, development, and product teams fairly, demonstrating empathy and a deep understanding of business needs.
•Leading on-call troubleshooting for production incidents, ensuring swift resolution and minimal disruption.
•Driving the development and improvement of ITIL processes, change management, incident management, and problem management.

Education:
•Bachelor or higher degree in Software Engineering, IT or related area.

Experience:
•At least 3 years of hands-on experience in Linux Server Administration (LPIC1, LPIC2 certification preferred).

Knowledge and Skills:
•A proven track record of success in continuous integration and continuous delivery environments.
•Exceptional understanding of Linux and extensive knowledge of TCP/IP.
•Significant experience in networking (TCP/IP, HTTP, DNS, etc.).
•Proficiency in at least one scripting language (Bash,Rust, Python, Go, etc.).
•Experience in configuring and troubleshooting issues on Web / App / DB Servers.
•Proven expertise in ITIL process, change management, incident management, and problem management.
•Strong leadership and team management skills, with a track record of driving team performance and meeting strategic objectives.
