شرح موقعیت شغلی

Location: Belgium - remote

Salary: Starting from 700 euros per month (negotiable based on skills and experience).

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Database Developer to join our team and help us migrate data from our monolith app to a new microservice architecture. As a Senior Database Developer, you will play a key role in designing and implementing the database schema for our microservices and ensuring a smooth transition of data from the existing MariaDB database.

 

Responsibilities:

 

Collaborate with the development team to understand the requirements and goals of the data migration process.

Design and implement the database schema for the microservices, ensuring proper normalization, indexing, and data integrity.

Extract data from the existing MariaDB database and transform it to fit the new microservices architecture.

Develop scripts or tools for data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes.

Optimize database queries and performance to ensure efficient data retrieval and processing.

Work closely with the DevOps team to set up the necessary infrastructure and deployment pipelines for the microservices.

Conduct thorough testing and debugging of database-related issues and provide timely resolution.

Collaborate with the development team to integrate the microservices with the new app's user interface.

Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and advancements in database technologies and recommend improvements or optimizations when necessary.

Requirements:

 

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.

Proven work experience as a Database Developer, preferably in a senior role.

Strong expertise in database design, normalization, indexing, and data integrity.

Proficiency in MariaDB and other relational database management systems (RDBMS).

Solid experience in data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes.

Advanced SQL knowledge and ability to optimize database queries.

Familiarity with microservices architecture and data migration best practices.

Experience with containerization tools like Docker is a plus.

Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

Strong communication skills and proficiency in English, both written and verbal.

Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Good Knowledge of SQL, NoSQL, Graph is required.
