Job Description

Are you a seasoned Backend Developer with a passion for building robust, scalable, and high-performance web applications?

At Homa Group, we are looking for a talented and experienced Senior Backend Developer to join our growing team and play a key role in designing, developing, and maintaining the backend infrastructure of our products and services.

You will work on challenging and diverse projects, from scalable web platforms and enterprise applications to specialized internal systems. You will be responsible for designing and developing APIs, services, data structures, and backend architectures that are reliable, secure, and built for scale.

Collaboration is an essential part of this role. You will work closely with Frontend Developers, UI/UX Designers, Product Managers, and other technical team members to turn business requirements into high-quality technical solutions.

Requirements

4+ years of hands-on experience in Backend Development
Strong proficiency in PHP 8.5+
Strong experience with the Laravel Framework
Solid understanding of RESTful API design and implementation
Strong knowledge of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP)
Good understanding of SOLID principles, Clean Code, and Design Patterns
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
Strong understanding of software architecture and scalable backend systems
Experience with Git and collaborative development workflows

You should be experienced in

Laravel Framework
PHP 8.5+
MySQL and PostgreSQL
Redis
MongoDB
RESTful APIs and third-party API integrations
Unit Testing and Integration Testing
Laravel Queues, Jobs, Events, Listeners, and Notifications
Authentication and Authorization
Database design and query optimization
Caching and performance optimization
Writing clean, maintainable, and well-documented code

AI & Modern Backend Technologies

Experience with AI-powered applications is a strong advantage. You should be familiar with:

OpenAI API and LLM integrations
AI-powered features and automation
Prompt Engineering
Embeddings and Vector Databases
RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation)
AI Chatbots and intelligent assistants
Function/Tool Calling and AI Agents
Integrating AI services into Laravel-based applications

You have a greater chance if

You have experience with Go
You have experience designing or working with Microservices
You are familiar with Docker and Linux
You have experience with CI/CD pipelines
You have DevOps knowledge and experience with cloud/server infrastructure
You have experience with WebSockets and real-time applications
You have contributed to large-scale or high-traffic applications
You have experience with system monitoring, logging, and performance optimization

What will be your responsibilities?

Architect, design, and implement high-performance and scalable backend services
Develop, maintain, and optimize RESTful APIs and microservices
Design and optimize database structures and queries
Build reliable and secure backend systems using PHP and Laravel
Integrate third-party services and external APIs
Develop and maintain AI-powered features and integrations
Identify performance bottlenecks and improve application scalability
Write automated tests and maintain high code quality
Participate in code reviews and establish engineering best practices
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions
Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues in development, staging, and production environments
Mentor junior and mid-level developers and contribute to the technical growth of the team
Contribute to architectural decisions and continuously improve our development processes
