We are seeking an experienced and passionate VoIP Engineer to join our team. VoIP Engineer, are responsible for planning, designing, implementing, and maintaining an organization's VoIP telecommunications systems. They ensure the systems operate efficiently and effectively, provide support to end-users, monitor system performance, and troubleshoot issues as they arise.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for
Planning, designing, installing, configuring, and maintaining the implementation of the Voice infrastructure including hardware/software recommendations
Complete installation and configuration of VICIdial on Linux-based servers (such as CentOS or Ubuntu).
Configuration of forecasting and automatic contact systems for outbound campaigns.
Setting up incoming call queues, IVR systems, and hybrid call routing.
Installing, configuring, and optimizing ViciPhone (WebRTC-based phone software) for use by users on VICIdial.
Ensure proper parsing using VICIdial for a correlation of user performance.
Configure and debug SIP trunks to route calls through VoIP providers.
Ensuring compatibility with VoIP provision and routing for incoming and outgoing calls.
Quality monitoring and call optimization, delay, and system performance.
Implementing security measures including firewall, IP whitelisting, and traffic encryption (TLS/SRTP) to secure VoIP communications.
Set up backups, recovery strategies, and disaster recovery plans for VICIdial servers.
MySQL configuration for call reporting and analysis database in VICIdial.
Setting and personalizing real-time and historical reports for user performance monitoring.
Provide ongoing support for VoIP-related issues including call quality, system crashes, and user connectivity.
Troubleshooting VoIP, WebRTC, and network issues including NAT, codecs, and SIP issues.
Creating detailed documentation for system installation, user manuals, and management instructions.
Training IT teams and support in managing and fixing VICIdial bugs.
Skills and requirements
At least 5 years of experience in installing and configuring VoIP systems.
Practical experience in installing, configuring and customizing VICIdial.
Experience in ViciPhone (WebRTC) integration in VICIdial.
Working knowledge of Asterisk PBX system and related technologies.
Mastering the management of Linux servers (CentOS, Ubuntu).
Deep understanding of SIP protocol, configuration and troubleshooting of SIP trunks.
Familiarity with VoIP codecs (such as G.711, G.729) and voice optimization.
MySQL database management experience.
Knowledge in firewall configuration, network security and setup for VoIP.
Familiarity with WebRTC, HTML5 and phone software technologies.
Knowledge of Apache, PHP and Postfix for VICIdial web interface.
Familiarity with call center operations, expected call standards and technologies.
Strong problem solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
