Position Overview:

As a Senior QA Specialist, you will assume a critical role in ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of our software products. Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, product managers, and designers, you will lead the planning, design, and execution of comprehensive test strategies and processes. Your expertise and leadership will be crucial in driving quality assurance initiatives and influencing the adoption of best practices throughout the organization.


Responsibilities:

1. Develop and implement robust test strategies, plans, and methodologies for complex software systems, considering various platforms (web, mobile, desktop) and architectures.
2. Lead and guide a team of QA professionals, providing mentorship, guidance, and expertise to ensure high-quality deliverables.
3. Collaborate closely with stakeholders to define acceptance criteria, user stories, and testable requirements, ensuring comprehensive test coverage.
4. Design and execute test cases, test scripts, and test scenarios to identify defects, vulnerabilities, and performance bottlenecks in software applications.
5. Conduct thorough risk assessments and root cause analyses, driving continuous improvement efforts and influencing the development process to prevent future defects.
6. Drive the adoption and implementation of automation frameworks, tools, and strategies to optimize testing efficiency and coverage.
7. Monitor and report on software quality metrics, providing insights and recommendations for process improvements and optimization.
8. Collaborate with development teams to troubleshoot and resolve complex issues, providing timely and accurate feedback throughout the software development lifecycle.
9. Stay updated with emerging trends, tools, and technologies in the QA field, identifying opportunities for innovation and implementing industry best practices.
10. Act as a subject matter expert in quality assurance, participating in the recruitment process, training programs, and knowledge-sharing activities.

Requirements:

1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
2. Extensive experience as a QA Specialist or in a similar role, with a strong background in software testing methodologies, strategies, and best practices.
3. Proven leadership experience, with the ability to lead and mentor a team of QA professionals.
4. Strong knowledge of test planning, test case development, and test execution across various software platforms (web, mobile, desktop).
5. Expertise in test automation frameworks and tools (e.g., Selenium, JUnit, TestNG, Cucumber) and proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Java, JavaScript).
6. In-depth understanding of software development methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum) and experience working in Agile environments.
7. Familiarity with performance testing, load testing, and security testing concepts and tools.
8. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and strategically.
9. Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to influence and build strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
10. Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritize tasks effectively, and deliver high-quality results under tight deadlines.
11. Experience in API testing with tools such as Postman, SoapUI  or Proxyman
