What You’ll Do:

Design, implement, and manage scalable and high-performance data pipelines, databases, and data warehouses.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements, identify opportunities, and create data solutions that drive business insights.
Develop and maintain ETL processes to extract, transform, and load data from various sources into the data warehouse.
Optimize data architecture for efficient data retrieval, analysis, and reporting.
Ensure data quality and integrity by implementing data validation and cleansing processes.
Monitor and troubleshoot data pipelines and resolve issues in a timely manner.
Stay up-to-date with industry best practices and emerging technologies in data engineering and database management.
Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and other stakeholders to support data-driven initiatives and enable data-driven decision-making.
Document data engineering processes, workflows, and data dictionaries.

Requirements:

Full professional proficiency in English is a must.
The candidate should be willing to relocate to Turkey.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field. Master’s degree is a plus.
Proven experience as a Data Engineer or similar role, with a strong focus on database design, data warehousing, and ETL processes.
Proficiency in SQL and experience with relational database systems (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQL Server).
Hands-on experience with cloud-based data platforms and technologies (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
Familiarity with data modeling and schema design for both transactional and analytical databases.
Experience with big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark) and NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, Cassandra) is a plus.
Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, Java, or Scala.
Ability to optimize database performance and troubleshoot database-related issues.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Effective communication skills to collaborate with technical and non-technical team members.
Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development environment is a plus.
