We are currently seeking a Signal Processing Expert to join our team with immediate urgency. This exciting opportunity involves processing large-scale acoustic data (terabytes of information) to detect cracks in water pipelines using advanced signal processing techniques. The role will directly contribute to creating reliable, data-driven solutions for a groundbreaking project.

What You’ll Do:

  • Analyze large datasets of acoustic signals to identify potential cracks and defects in water pipelines.
  • Develop and implement signal processing algorithms for acoustic data analysis, working with terabytes of data.
  • Collaborate closely with engineers and data scientists to support pipeline monitoring and analysis.
  • Utilize Python, SQL, and Jupyter notebooks to manipulate, explore, and visualize data.
  • Work with cloud platforms to efficiently handle and process massive datasets.
  • Provide clear and concise reporting of results, presenting key insights to clients.
  • Adapt to project changes and contribute innovative solutions to address emerging challenges.
Requirements:

  • Proficiency in English (spoken and written).
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in signal processing, preferably acoustic signal processing.
  • Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Electrical Engineering, Data Science, Acoustics, Computer Science, or related fields.
  • Strong skills in Python, SQL, and experience working with Jupyter notebooks.
  • Experience with cloud computing platforms (AWS, Azure, or similar) for managing large datasets.
  • Familiarity with exploratory data analysis and pattern recognition in acoustic signals.
  • Self-driven with excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines and adapt in a fast-paced, changing environment.
Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with distributed acoustic sensing (DAS) technology.
  • Familiarity with data visualization tools such as Tableau, DOMO, or Power BI.
  • Experience with projects related to pipeline monitoring or similar large-scale data analysis applications.
