Our current flagship program involves digitizing and localizing data centres for multiple hospitals. As we expand our team to meet the challenges and opportunities of this exciting project, we’re looking for a Software Architect / Tech Lead to act as a consultant in a large-scale healthcare data centre localization and digitization program. This role requires an expert in IT architecture, cloud solutions, and intersystem communications, who can provide strategic guidance to drive the success of this initiative. This individual will act as a consultant to our Program Manager and play a pivotal role in shaping the technological vision and architecture for our healthcare clients.

What You’ll Do:

Architect Data Center Solutions: Design and propose data centre strategies (including on-premise, hybrid, or usage-based models like Zadara) that meet strict compliance requirements and optimize cost-effectiveness for multiple hospitals.
Plan Intersystem Communications: Develop networking and connectivity roadmaps (e.g., WAN for building-to-building, local LAN for within-building communication) to ensure seamless exchange using technologies like Cisco and broadband solutions.
Lead Cloud Strategy: Leverage deep expertise in Microsoft Azure, Amazon AWS, and Google Cloud to design secure, scalable, and compliant cloud architectures that enable local data processing and storage as required by regulations.
Facilitate Digital Transformation: Evaluate and integrate AI solutions for reporting and process automation (e.g., appointment management), collaborating closely with data science teams to ensure robust, cost-effective solution
Oversee Software Development: Provide advice on best practices in mobile, desktop, and laptop software development, ensuring the technology stack and architectural decisions align with the overall project goals.
Cost & Risk Analysis: Provide clear recommendations on technology investments by analyzing the financial implications, ROI, and potential challenges of diverse hardware, software, and networking solutions.
Strategic Collaboration: Act as the deputy to the Program Manager, contributing to high-level planning, problem-solving, and realising future opportunities for project expansion and innovation.

Requirements:

8+ years of experience in IT architecture, system design, cloud infrastructure, and enterprise solutions ideally within large-scale or mission-critical environments.
Excellent English communication skills (spoken and written) – this is a must.
Proven track record in data centre design (Dell, EMC, IBM, or similar), cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP), and networking (WAN, LAN, Cisco).
AI & Automation Insight: Familiarity with AI-driven solutions in healthcare (e.g., image recognition, appointment scheduling) and their implementation complexities.
Proficiency in multiple programming languages used for mobile, desktop, and enterprise software development.
Strong leadership and problem-solving abilities, with experience working on large-scale IT projects.
Problem-Solving Mindset: Adapt quickly to evolving project demands, identifying innovative and practical solutions for large-scale system rollouts.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in similar projects: Background in planning or implementing IT solutions across multiple healthcare facilities.
Experience in healthcare IT solutions is a huge plus.
Vendor Management: Demonstrated ability to negotiate with and manage hardware/software providers, especially for usage-based models like Zadara.
Certifications: Industry certifications in cloud (Azure/AWS/GCP), networking (Cisco), or project management (PMP) are a bonus.
Experience working within regulated environments and an understanding of local data residency laws.
Proven track record of leading architectural designs in complex, multi-site projects.
Familiarity with healthcare industry challenges and best practices.
