Job Title: Data Scientist (Real-Time IoT Data)
Location: Remote
Job Type: Full-Time, 3-Month Contract

We are embarking on an innovative project to develop a real-time IoT data platform for ingesting Distributed Fiber Optic (DFO) data. This platform will be deployable on major cloud platforms or on-premise. We are seeking a skilled and motivated Data Scientist to join our team. As a Data Scientist, you will play a crucial role in analyzing and processing real-time IoT data, contributing directly to the success of our cutting-edge projects.

What You’ll Do:

  • Develop and implement machine learning models for real-time IoT data processing and analysis.
  • Manage the machine learning lifecycle using tools such as MLflow.
  • Utilize distributed model training techniques using tools like Dask.
  • Collect, clean, and analyze large datasets from distributed fibre optic sensors.
  • Design and deploy data pipelines for real-time data ingestion and processing.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering and product development, to integrate data-driven solutions into the platform.
  • Create dashboards and visual interactive reports to present data insights and support decision-making.
  • Ensure data quality and integrity throughout the analysis process.
  • Stay updated with the latest advancements in data science, machine learning, and IoT technologies.
Requirements:

  • Professional proficiency in English is a must.
  • At least 3 years of relevant experience.
  • At least a Master’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field.
  • Proven work experience as a Data Scientist or a similar role.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to manipulate and interpret complex datasets.
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools and programming languages such as Python.
  • Experience with machine learning lifecycle management tools such as MLflow.
  • Knowledge of distributed model training and real-time data processing platforms.
  • Familiarity with IoT platforms and technologies.
  • Excellent communication skills to convey complex data insights to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines.
  • Problem-solving mindset and a passion for driving data-driven decision-making.
Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud.
  • Previous experience in projects involving IoT data ingestion and processing.
  • Familiarity with data visualization tools such as DOMO, Tableau, or Power BI.
