Job Title: DevSecOps Engineer (Real-Time IoT Data Platform)
Location: Remote
Job Type: Full-Time, 3-Month Contract

We are embarking on an innovative project to develop a real-time IoT data platform for ingesting Distributed Fiber Optic (DFO) data. This platform will be deployable on major cloud platforms or on-premise. We are seeking a skilled and motivated DevSecOps Engineer to join our team. As a DevSecOps Engineer, you will play a crucial role in deploying and securing complex infrastructures, ensuring secure communication between cloud services, edge devices, and customers, and contributing directly to the success of our cutting-edge projects.

What You’ll Do:

  • Deploy and manage complex infrastructure on Azure, AWS, and on-premise environments.
  • Develop and implement secure communication protocols between cloud services, edge devices, and customers.
  • Deploy software on edge devices, ensuring efficient and secure operations.
  • Utilize Infrastructure as Code methodologies to automate infrastructure provisioning and management.
  • Implement security best practices for distributed systems to protect data and ensure compliance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including data engineers and software developers, to integrate security into the development lifecycle.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot infrastructure and security issues to ensure system reliability and performance.
  • Stay updated with the latest advancements in DevSecOps practices, cloud technologies, and IoT security.
Requirements:

  • Professional proficiency in English is a must.
  • At least 3 years of relevant experience.
  • At least a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Proven work experience as a DevSecOps Engineer or a similar role.
  • Experience deploying complex infrastructure on Azure, AWS, and on-premise.
  • Knowledge of deploying software on edge devices.
  • Understanding of secure communication protocols between cloud services, edge devices, and customers.
  • Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools and methodologies.
  • Background in security practices for distributed systems.
  • Excellent communication skills to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines.
  • Problem-solving mindset and a passion for driving secure, efficient, and reliable infrastructure solutions.
Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud.
  • Previous experience in projects involving IoT data ingestion and processing.
  • Familiarity with security tools and frameworks for IoT and cloud environments.
