Responsibilities:

  • Performing periodic tests of security services
  • Identify and define system security requirements
  • Documentation of infrastructure and security risks
  • Configure and troubleshoot security infrastructure devices
  • Checking and improving the performance of security services
  • Prepare and document standard operating procedures and protocols
  • Design computer security architecture and develop detailed cyber security designs
  • Ensure that the company knows as much as possible, as quickly as possible about security incidents
  • Develop technical solutions and new security tools to help mitigate security vulnerabilities and automate repeatable tasks
  • Engineer, implement, and monitor security measures for the protection of computer systems, networks, and information
  • Write comprehensive reports including assessment-based findings, outcomes, and propositions for further system security enhancement
 

Requirements and skills:

  • Mastering the Snort service
  • Familiarity with PFSense firewalls
  • Mastery of IPS/IDS and WAF concepts
  • Familiarity with SSO and IAM concepts
  • Mastery of VXLAN and IPSEC protocols
  • Operational experience on Nexus switches
  • Knowledge of Kerberos and LDAP protocols
  • Operational experience on FortiGate firewalls
  • Experience working with Linux servers and services
  • Experience in building and maintaining security systems
  • Mastery of Fortinet technologies and services at NSE 5 level
  • Analysis of product security requirements in the design phase
  • Mastery of information security concepts such as CIS and CCSP
  • Training and supporting developers in fixing security weaknesses
  • Detailed technical knowledge of database and operating system security
  • Experience with information security frameworks (OWASP, Miter att&ck)
  • Implementation of vulnerability assessment and penetration testing process
  • Implementation of a network penetration test, applications, web and mobile software
  • Thorough understanding of the latest security principles, techniques, and protocols
  • Proven work experience as a System Security Engineer or Information Security Engineer
  • Developing security routines and procedures and monitoring their implementation in the organization
  • Experience with network security and networking technologies and with system, security, and network monitoring tools
  • Familiarity with web-related technologies (Web applications, Web Services, Service Oriented Architectures) and network/web-related protocols
  • Hands-on experience in security systems, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, anti-virus software, authentication systems, log management, content filtering, etc
 

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • BSc in computer science, information technology, engineering, or a related field
  • Five to 10 years of experience in System Security Engineer
