Job Overview
We are looking for a Senior DeFi Analyst to produce high-quality, data-driven research on cutting-edge protocols and market trends.
In this role, you will dive deep into the mechanics of major DeFi projects, track emerging narratives, and deliver actionable insights through institutional-grade reports.

This role is not related to trading. We are not looking for chartist, technical analysts, or crypto traders.

The role is about deep research on DeFi related topics.
If you can't explain:
1. The Curve wars
2. Difference between Restaking and LRTs
3. Virtuals ecosystem vs ai16z ecosystem
4. Optimistic rollups vs ZK rollups
5. A bullish thesis for Hyperliquid

Key Responsibilities

Conduct in-depth analyses of leading DeFi protocols (e.g., Aave, Curve, Etherfi, Ethena, Fluid)
Identify and evaluate emerging crypto trends (e.g., LRT, restaking, AI agents, Social-Fi), providing timely research updates
Craft detailed, data-backed research reports that offer second- and third-order insights into protocol mechanics, tokenomics, and user behavior
Use on-chain analytics tools (e.g., DeFiLlama, Token Terminal, Artemis, Etherscan, L2Beat) to gather and interpret key metrics
Collaborate with internal teams to validate findings, develop new research angles, and refine analytical frameworks
Monitor and report on governance changes, market events, and industry developments that may impact DeFi ecosystems

Skills & Experience Required

3+ years of experience in crypto research or similar roles (e.g., at Messari, crypto VCs, hedge funds, or analytics platforms)
Deep understanding of DeFi primitives (AMMs, lending, staking, oracles), cross-chain ecosystems, and tokenomic models
Strong English writing abilities, capable of producing institutional-grade research and thought leadership pieces
Proficiency with data analysis and visualization tools
Proven track record of synthesizing complex information into concise, actionable insights
Self-starter mindset with the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced, remote-first environment
